Howe Caverns, located just 30-40 miles from Albany, NY, is definitely worth the trip! We had an amazing family outing, which lasted around 90-120 minutes. Despite arriving almost an hour late, the staff was incredibly understanding and made the experience enjoyable for everyone. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness really stood out, especially considering the different generations within our group. A special shout-out to our tour guide, who kept the tour fun, engaging, and informative. The boat ride through the cave was an unforgettable highlight—riding in a boat inside the cave was surreal and thrilling. The winding wave path at the end of the tour was absolutely mind-blowing and added an extra layer of excitement to the whole experience. Tips: Parking is free, and I’d recommend purchasing tickets online in advance to avoid any hassle. Overall, Howe Caverns is a must-visit destination. The combination of stunning natural beauty and excellent customer service makes it a great outing for families.

We did the tour and stay package. It was definitely a great value. Included in the package was a hotel room, 2 cave tickets, a 1/2 lb of your choice fudge (we got peanut butter chocolate & mint swirl. They were both good, but liked peanut butter chocolate the best). The room was nice, clean, and much larger than I expected. They had a nice fridge. In the room there was a goody bag, with a glass, chip clip and a book on the caves. They have Dish network with a good selection of channels but it took some time to figure out how to work the remote even though they had directions. Finally got it sorted out. We only stayed one night, so we didn't get to use the pool or do the zip line or high ropes. The grounds were beautiful and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend to others and stay again if we are in the area.

One of the coolest caves I've ever seen! It's a super unique experience. They have a boat ride in the cave and an interesting ending where to walk through the tight but beautiful and cool narrow pathway that is reminiscent of a mini grand canyon with how the walls are shaped. The tour guides are also super informative and definitely make the experience fun.

Came here over the weekend with high expectations as I love caves and have visited a few. This is by far the largest cave I’ve visited, and overall it was a great experience. There’s a couple things that were not particularly of my liking: 1. The tour groups are huge. It is hard to take pictures without people in them, or to get any quiet moments of cave appreciation as the crowd was noisy. 2. This can be something positive or negative, depending on the type of experience you are looking for. The cave is very accesible, too much for me. You never walk through paths without illumination or step into water or rocks, it’s a lot of constructed stairs and paths underneath

We stopped here as a place to stretch our legs on a motorcycle ride out west. The views outside were amazing and the cavern was so much more interesting than I could have imagined with a bonus underground boat ride. It was in the middle of the week at the end of September so there were only a few in the group and they gave us the choice to spend extra long and take out time down there
