I only visited the cemetery on the grounds as the museum was closed that day, and it was beautiful. Old historic headstones and monuments, it was so peaceful just walking around the grounds. The church is beautiful stone, absolutely stunning. Great part of NY state, lots to see and do - put this place on your list, especially if you like cemeteries.

What a hidden gem this was for any history lovers! Beautiful area, and the price was right! Free. Of course there is a donation box which I threw some $$ into. The staff present were friendly and very helpful. I was not aware you could also visit the Fort Annex which included a school house, law office, and much more. But, the helpful staff let me know and I took advantage of it! I definitely will look into another visit in the future.

Very cool place and the man working there gave us lots of information about the history of this place. They had a fun scavenger hunt for the kids upstairs too. I liked being able to walk around and visit the different buildings.

I was there for the cemetery tour, but have visited the museum previously as well. The building itself is fascinating and the museum offers a good collection of items illustrating local history, and I love the collection of curiosities displayed upstairs, from their original 19th Century collection. In addition to the main building, there is additional display space across the street, where a collection of perhaps eight other historic buildings have been relocated.
If you visit, take the time to go an additional half-block down the street to see the lovely and historic covered bridge.

A little bit of interesting history to be found here. No cost to go in and see it all.
