Great experience! Informative and fun tours that were interesting for kids and adults alike. Paths are relatively safe and while there are a few stairs not super challenging. There is a short walk through the caves followed by a brief boat ride and a walk through a winding section of the cave. Cave is lit up in brilliant colors in places. Care is taken both to showcase and preserve the caves. Guides were familiar with cavern lore which had clearly been passed down through generations. Gift shop and various other experiences offered. Temperature in caves is a consistent 52 degrees.

We've visited Howe Caverns multiple times over the years - each time is just as fun as the first. The cave is one of the biggest in the Northeast area, and the size alone is impressive. Make sure to book your tickets ahead of time as the tour groups are quite large and may sell out of the time you want.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and let visitors stop and take plenty of pics. The traditional tour is 90 minutes long and felt well worth the price of our tickets. Our favorite part of the tour included the boat ride and the winding way. Overall, this cave is beautiful and worth a visit at least once.
At the end of your tour make sure to check out the gift shops and sample some of the cave-aged cheese. We left with some of their delicious jalapeño hot sauce and some apple cider!

My family and I went here over the summer from our vacation spot in the Adirondacks (a little bit of a drive, but it was closer than if we tried to go from Rochester), and we loved it! I was hesitant at first, but when I got to see how cool it was, I was immediately taken! My family sort of got our own private tour by accident, as no one else was in the same tour group as us. I don't remember the name of our tour guide, but he was very nice and told us a lot about the caves and history of the estate it was under. I recommend this more than I can even convey in this review!

This was SO much FUN. Totally exceeded my expectations. Staff and tour guides were great and very helpful throughout the entire experience. It was a magical place that I would never imagine to be under those grounds. Looking forward to come back and experience the other tours Howes Caverns have to offer.

Large beautiful cave with an underground river over 100 feet below. You have to drive your own car there because the car service doesn't do pickup from there. It's recommended to book your tour at least in the early morning of your tour date because seats are limited and filled up very fast. The tour is about 1.5 hours, starting with an introduction, then taking elevator down, and walking and sitting on a boat and walking back.
